Trustees and Officers
The Trust’s Management Committee consists of life members and trustees made up from village residents. Through engaging with the local community, trustees strive to update and develop facilities while identifying event opportunities. Trustees encourage and value ideas from the local community and welcome those who wish to become a trustee, or volunteer for a specific project.
Mike Robinson

Mike has lived in the village for over 30 years and has been involved with the Trust for most of that time, as Chairman (1984 – 1991) and appointed as a Life Member in 1991.
His wife Linda raised over £20k for the Trust, and children’s charities, by running the annual village horse show for 14 years.
Mike will be taking over as Chairman in 2021, specifically focussing on the long-term plans for the Trust and development opportunities.
Malcolm Knight
Trustee
Malcolm and his wife Ruth have lived in the Village since 1985. Their children both attended the Village Primary School and subsequently Brighton Hill Community School in Basingstoke.
Malcolm joined the Village Trust in January 2012 and was elected Chairman in May 2014. In 2021 Malcolm chose to step down from his Chairman responsibilities however remains as an experienced Trustee with responsibility for external maintenance.
Julia Preston

Julia moved to the village in 2010 and in 2011 took over the role of Bookings Secretary.
Julia can help with any booking enquiries & is our first point of contact for current and potential hirers.
Adrian McLaughlin
Trustee (Life Member)
Adrian and his wife Barbara have lived in the village since 1981 and for over 20 years in St Michael’s Close.
William Rathbone OBE
Trustee (Life Member)
Bill spent his teenage years (1946 -1953) in the Village when his father farmed the North Waltham estate. He now lives in London.
He succeeded his father as a trustee of the Village Trust in 1978.
Peter Osmond
Trustee
Peter moved to the village in 1978 and a been a Trustee on many occasions over 30 years.
Emma Turner
Trustee
Emma and her husband Neal moved to North Waltham in 1998. Their daughter attended Puddleducks, Pre-School and the Village School where Emma was also a governor.

Neal and his wife Emma moved to North Waltham in 1998. Their daughter attended Puddleducks, Pre-School and the Village School where Emma was also a governor.
Nicky Carter
Trustee
She became a Trustee in 2020 with a particular focus of ensuring that facilities reflect all age demographics within the community.
Nicky’s role includes raising awareness of the Trust through social media channels and other platforms.
Through her role as a Trustee Nicky hopes to contribute to the continued success of the Trust and to encourage others to volunteer.
Dilan Ozdemir
Trustee
Dilan and her husband Asher moved into the village, along with their son and two dogs in 2021.
After making the move from London to North Waltham, Dilan appreciates how important community and belonging is.

Geoff moved to the village from Basingstoke in April 2008. He joined the Parish Council in 2014 and becoming Chairman in December of that year, a position he still holds. He joined the Village Trust as a Trustee in the spring of 2015.
