Recreational Facilities
Cuckoo Meadow is maintained by North Waltham Village Trust for sport and recreation, daily dog walkers, and has several picnic tables. A well-equipped children’s play area provides space for younger children, while various other recreational facilities are available for all ages.

Tennis Court
Next to the pavilion, Cuckoo meadow has a hardcourt tennis count available to all on a first-come, first-served basis without booking. The Village Trust does request that the tennis court is only used for tennis to preserve the surface, and please do not allow dogs to enter the court.
The Trust also reserves the right to close the court at any time, without prior notice, for safety or maintenance reasons.
Outdoor Table Tennis
The Meadow also has an outdoor table tennis table available all year round and is dedicated to Richard Tanner in recognition of his many efforts to support the community’s younger members. The table is also available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please do not stand on the table to avoid damage from shoes.
Petanque Terrain
In 2022 a Petanque terrain was a welcome addition to Cuckoo Meadow’s facilities.
The terrain is available without prior booking. However, the Trust requests that players be given consideration if it is already in use.
The Trust ask that dogs and children are discouraged from playing on the terrain.
Play Area
In the southwest corner of the Meadow, there is a play area with a range of play equipment for all ages.
The equipment is inspected regularly, and The Trust asks that users not allow dogs to enter the play area.
