Welcome to North Waltham

Welcome to North Waltham, a beautiful village and civil parish located about 6 miles (9.6km) southwest of Basingstoke in Hampshire, with a population of 870 at the 2011 census. The village is set in a small valley, surrounded by rolling chalk uplands covered in arable farming, giving the village a close relationship with the open countryside and a genuinely rural feel. Centred around the pond, the village is a small but vibrant community with many groups covering many different interests and community activities like the annual village fete/big lunch.

The village has a history dating back to the early Anglo-Saxon era. It boasts several historic buildings, including a Norman church, a Victorian School, and a range of houses from as far back as 1460.

This website aims to provide information and resources for the community, anyone interested in getting involved in the village’s many activities, and those wanting to learn more about North Waltham. Please visit our What’s On page for a full calendar of events and activities for all the organisations, groups and clubs in North Waltham.
