Welcome to North Waltham

Welcome to North Waltham, a beautiful village and civil parish located about 6 miles (9.6km) southwest of Basingstoke in Hampshire, with a population of 870 at the 2011 census. The village is set in a small valley, surrounded by rolling chalk uplands covered in arable farming, giving the village a close relationship with the open countryside and a genuinely rural feel. Centred around the pond, the village is a small but vibrant community with many groups covering many different interests and community activities like the annual village fete/big lunch.

The village has a history dating back to the early Anglo-Saxon era. It boasts several historic buildings, including a Norman church, a Victorian School, and a range of houses from as far back as 1460.

This website aims to provide information and resources for the community, anyone interested in getting involved in the village’s many activities, and those wanting to learn more about North Waltham. Please visit our What’s On page for a full calendar of events and activities for all the organisations, groups and clubs in North Waltham.

North Waltham Village Trust

North Waltham Village Trust is a charity that provides village facilities for recreational activities, space for society and club meetings, and occasional hire for private functions. North Waltham Village Trust works in collaboration with the Parish Council, and other village societies for the benefit of the community.

North Waltham Parish Council

North Waltham Parish Council’s role is to act as a link between the village and the other bodies responsible for services to the community, be that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Hampshire County Council or one of the other statutory organisations. As the authority most relative to the people, we are invariably the first port of call people go to with their concerns or ideas. For this reason, we are a vital part of any community.
