Teaching at home assistance

by | Mar 27, 2020 | Uncategorised

To parents/carers of school aged children in North Waltham, Steventon, Ashe, Deane and Dummer.

We are in unusual times and many of you will be coming to grips with home schooling at this time.  We are pleased to inform you that a small group of teachers and former teachers in North Waltham has set up a support group to assist you though this journey.

It may be that you/your children do not fully understand the work that the school has set and seek clarification, or you may need support as to how best to teach a new strategy or concept.

We may be able to help you.

What we are not offering is individual teaching but we would be available, via e-mail in the first instance, to help you and/or your youngsters with a problem.

We have a dedicated e-mail address on which you can reach us: northwalthamteachers@gmail.com .

Who are we?

We are a group of three teachers/former teachers from North Waltham. Our areas of expertise are noted:

Claire James:  Biology up to GCSE and Chemistry to KS3

Ruth Knight:    Maths up to GCSE

Sarah Lang:   Primary

We have set up a private group on Facebook – ‘North Waltham Teacher Support group’ – where we intend to post useful websites and resources.

We look forward to hearing from you.
