Thank you to everyone who is busy making poppies for the North Waltham display in November this year.
If you would like to take part, you can make as few or many as you like, as and when you can, over the next few months.
These can be knitted, crocheted or cut out of felt or fabric. All the poppies that you make will be incorporated into the final display.
As you know, poppies are usually red but can also be purple which is a symbol of remembrance of the animals that served during wartime. Many horses, dogs and pigeons served during wars. White poppies represent remembrance for all victims of war and a commitment to peace.
