Colossal trucks have become an increasingly frequent sight, obstructing our roads, disrupting school traffic, and squeezing through our lanes—often reversing, mis-routed, and putting our \’pavement-less\’ pedestrians at risk. They are wearing away our cherished churchyard and village greens/verges. If the Oakdown Warehouse development proceeds, these scenes could become even more frequent. Consider, too, all that future HGV traffic from A34/A303 heading to the Warehouses and imagine the morning struggle to access the A30.
Do we want this to be our future? Let\’s stand together and say NO to this disruption!
Please petition NWPC councillors to speak & represent our village at the BDBC Development Control Committee (DCC) meeting on 6th November. Let\’s also ask the NWPC to urgently lobby for a proper strategic gap/woodland to protect our rural life, which is also at stake.
(NB. The DCC councillors make all these decisions, and we need them to understand the impact on North Waltham before it is too late)
