The Fox P.H. is a registered Asset of Community Value (ACV) and as such there are certain processes that need to be adhered to should the owners wish to sell the pub. In accordance with the process the current owners have advised Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council of their intention to do so. The ACV on the property is valid until 2025 and as such any new owner would be required to run The Fox as a public house until that date at which stage an application to extend the ACV can be made. The Parish Council have been advised by the agent managing the sale that the proposed buyer is a well-established privately owned pub company which has expressed intentions to continue operating The Fox as a pub, and is in a position to complete the purchase very quickly.
